Barn Manager

The Barn Manager is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the barn and stable block.

Racing yards have some fantastic facilities – the equivalent of five star hotel accommodation – and the Barn Manager must ensure they are safe and suitable at all times. They work closely with the trainers and stable yard staff to maintain extremely high standards.

A Barn Manager must possess a good working knowledge of basic equine medical treatments, nutritional needs and behavioral management techniques to assist in feeding duties, reporting health and welfare issues and general yard duties.
